globular, to 10 cm (3.9 in) high, 7 cm (2.7 in) Ø
crown wooly and with spines
about 21 ribs, splitted in bumps
areoles to 0.5 cm (0.2 in) Ø, round
about 21 radial spines, 1.2–2 cm (0.4–0.7 in) long, the upper to 3 cm (1.2 in) long,
interwoven, white
4–8 central spines, somewhat stronger, one of it is especially stronger to 4 cm (1.5 in) long,
somewhat curved, talon shaped, brown to blackish,
the other 2.4–3.5 cm (0.9–1.3 in) long, strong erect, blueish to horn-colored
flowers 2 cm (0.7 in) Ø, greenish with greenish to reddish-brown center
