Description

globular to elongated, to 10 cm (3.9 in) Ø, blueish-green
crown with spines
ribs about 35, thin, deep crenated
areoles at the beginning gray felted
4 radial spines, glassy white, stem-shaped rounded, upper pair 0.7–0.9 cm (0.2–0.3 in) long,
lower pair about 1.2 cm (0.5 in) long
3 upper spines, the middle one especially long, hooped,
fairly adjacent, first honey-yellow, with brown tip, the 2 sidewise are less broad,
behind the middle one also 1 glassy thin add-on spine
flowers 2.5 cm (1 in) long, white with purple-violet center
