Description |
very early imported, probably not from Peru, like the name,
but from Brazil
columnar, over 3 m (9.8 ft) tall, from below bushy branched
shoots 10–20 cm (3.9–7.8 in)
Ø, in the first year light green, later blue-green, at last gray-green
ribs mostly 7, 3–5 cm (1.2–1.9 in) tall, flat
areoles at first brown; 5–6 spines, light brown to reddish brown
1 center spine, up to 2 cm (0.8 in) long
flowers up to 16 cm (6.3 in) long, wide open, white
fruits globular, light yellow to orange
